Mark Dement has specialized in creating a superior method of building construction by utilizing the industry leaders in Super Energy Efficient and Green (SEE-GREEN) products and methodologies. Mark grew up in the construction business working side by side with his father and grandfather and had gained a wealth of construction knowledge. In the process of learning the construction business, Mark has through the years become driven to create effective and sustainable building processes and materials that will allow homeowners to become truly GREEN/ENERGY EFFICIENT as well as SUSTAINABLE. As a certified ENERGY EFFICIENT/GREEN contractor Mark brings a wealth of experience, industry contacts that have enabled Mark to become one of the leaders in Energy Efficient/Green building technologies. Mark continues to educate himself in the comprehension of the energy efficient/green markets and has established a team of likeminded professionals to assist in developing and creating eco-friendly projects.
In 2008 Mark launched DaVinci Development & Construction and has completed many notable projects including being named the Energy Efficient contractor in January of 2010 for the site of the television show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” for the Beach Family in Kemah, Texas. That project was completed in early 2010 and was aired on National Television in spring of 2010. The Energy Efficient aspect of that project was centered on the construction process known as S.I.P.’s (Structural Insulated Panels). By utilizing the S.I.P.s building process Mark was able to build the 6,000 square foot home shell in two days. In addition, as of January 1, 2011 DaVinci Development and Construction was voted the city of Houston’s Top Home Remodeler for 2010 and will be appearing in Time Magazine in 2011.
In an effort to expand the DaVinci business Mark has teamed up with development and construction professionals Richard Gadrow and Tom Korstad. This partnership has resulted in the development of a strong business model that revolves around the development and construction of Super Energy Efficient/Green projects that will prove to be the cutting edge of the sustainable lifestyles.
The three principals have the same goals, aspirations, and visions for creating energy efficient and green building/developments throughout the Houston area, as well as throughout Texas. DaVinci is structured for developing and building sustainable communities, homes, buildings, and energy efficient projects by utilizing the leading edge construction materials and procedures as well as building operations systems.
